Stever B. Toronto ON	This is the first Puff Tie that I have ever owned, so I don't have much to compare with, but I do think that the tie is quite well made. The adjustability of the strap for sizing around the neck allows for the tie to easily fit my 17.5 neck.I would definitley recommend this to others. I got the Pearl Tie Tack (http://www.historicalemporium.com/product_reviews.php?rpprodid=001670) to go with it. Very nice combo!

Angelo	Reminds me of an 1864 time period. Excellent for a classical opera costume, period re-enactment, or vampire movie wardrobe.

John-1911 Houston TX	A very nice product made from good materials and put together well. But the way it is packaged - folded up - gave it creases that needed ironing out.

jbw Mississippi	Nice material, but the neck piece was barely sewn on. Came off the first time I tried it, and the neck piece was too long, even for my 16-1/2" neck, after taking all the slack out.Then the hook wouldn't stay on. Also it was difficult to figure out how to operate it. Needs an instruction sheet. I had to take up the neck piece, stitch it back on, stitch the tie together in a couple of places to put it all together. I recommend velcro instead of the hook (may not be authentic, but it wouldn't be as aggrevating.

Gaslamp Player Los Angeles CA	While the tie came as described, I had barely put it on when the strap that holds the tie to your neck came undone. The stitching was loose, and slipped right out. Had to emergency safety pin the thing in order to attend my event. It's an easily reparable fault, and hope I just got the one defective one. Instructions on how to tie it could be a little clearer.

spiff athens ga	i am very pleased with this tie. i purchased the tie and the cherry vest together to wear at my wedding and received many compliments. the quality and look of the tie are a wonderful example of the craftsmanship, once abundant in America, that still lives on through the gentleman's emporium.
