this item is just as pictured, well made and solid. good weight and heft. But do to the size is primarily decorative only. The time is about 15-20 seconds. great detail, good price, but useful only as a costume item or 15 second egg timer (grin)

I already owned one of these on a necklace that I'd bought from a jewellery artist on etsy. This one is just as impressive, and I'm sure it will make an excellent gift. The only thing that I'd be concerned about is that the hourglass is a little loose in the brass casing. It's padded, though, so hope for the best.

Very Poor quality keychain, it lost all the sand from the hourglass within a day or two, and there was a hole in the glass tube inside, which was also not fastened inside the metal sheathing sturdily, so it flopped back and forth from top to bottom constantly, poor construction. Also not enough sand in the hourglass.
