NEW Birmingham Sack Coat - Brown Pinstripe (Closeout)
Dressed for an honest day’s work managing the printing press in town, our New Birmingham Pinstripe Sack Coat gave him enough authority that he never had to get sullied up on the line. Despite the sweltering temperatures from the steam-operated press, he never showed his bare shirtsleeves on the job as occasionally a woman would drop by with a last-minute piece for the daily edition.
Cut close to the body, this fully-lined men’s coat is designed with narrow arm holes and high narrow lapels; there is no back vent. Four buttons fasten up the round-bottom front hem while two flap pockets are situated above the hips. One breast pocket is hidden in the interior to keep essentials safe. Pair with the coordinating New Birmingham Pinstripe Pants and Vest for a spot-on turn of the century look.
Made in USA. Body 50% Poly/Rayon, 50% Wool. Lining 100% Acetate. Dry clean only. Available in coat sizes 36-52.
NOTE: this style replaces the "old birmingham" style, which has been discontinued.
Our coats are made with typical American sizing, meaning your chest measurement (in inches) is the size you should choose.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size.
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves.

Again, High Quality, and great material. I only wonder why an outside left breast (handkerchief) pocket was not included. But I did notice when I purchased.

There really is nothing else I can say but I love this coat!!! Nicely tailored, good sleeve length, a little boxy because of the shoulder pads, but that doesn't distract from the coat. A MUST OWN!!!
